OUR STORY
At the San Diego East County Economic Development Council, we strive to cultivate an innovative and sustainable region by bridging the gap between industry, education, government, and infrastructure.
Our job is to convene these disparate groups in order to craft an economic base that expands existing business, promotes new economic opportunities, and drives forward the initiatives of our stakeholders. We create a prosperous economic environment through innovative projects, purpose-driven collaboration, and assertive promotion.

What Our Members Say
“The ECEDC is here to attract, retain, and grow jobs in the East County subregion. As a business owner in the area, I can say that we are lucky to have them. They are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to potential growth areas, regional challenges, overcoming hurdles, and connecting people. They are always willing to come alongside, lend a resource, and do what it takes to move a project forward. Thank you Jo-Marie, James, and the rest of the team at the EDC for your efforts to improve the prosperity of our businesses and residents of East County!”
“Becoming a member of the East County Economic Development Council (EDC) has been a fantastic resource for our business. From attending the monthly board meetings to special events planned throughout the year, we have been able to connect, on a personal level, with individuals who have helped to advance our business. We’ve had the opportunity to meet with both government officials to discuss policy as well as commercial/private industry looking to use or our aerial imaging and data collection services and consultation. As Birds Eye Aerial Drones also has a philanthropic element, being involved with the East County EDC has given us the chance to get involved in giving back to the community as well. As a veteran-owned small UAS business in east county, we count our membership with ECEDC as one of our business assets.”
“The East County EDC has opened the door to connect with many of East Counties decision makers and influential citizens. It is a huge part of my business and personal development..”
